DIETITIAN COACH FELLOWSHIP
A paid, 12-month fellowship for registered dietitians new to private practice who are seeking in-depth training and growth-oriented mentorship to become an effective and confident Dietitian Coach.
We want to fix the massive training gap in dietetics, so that you can effectively guide your clients through meaningful nutrition changes—not just educate.
HERE’S WHAT KEEPS US UP AT NIGHT…
Our mission is to provide accelerated and rigorous training and development that aims to close this skill and knowledge gap for dietitians. The hope is that this changes the trajectory of dietitian careers and gets them into high-paying roles or starting high-profit private practices sooner than without the fellowship. Fellows will also be considered for a Dietitian Coach role with All Access Dietitians at the completion of the fellowship program.
IT’S NOT JUST EDUCATION, HANDOUTS, AND MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING.
What is the Dietitian Coach Approach?
As dietitians, we are trained to complete nutrition assessments, make personalized recommendations, and provide evidence-based education to our patients and clients.
And one reason we get into this field is because we want to help people improve their nutrition to increase the quality of their lives. But the typical training does not adequately address the behavior change coaching skills needed to guide your patients through difficult health changes.
We have tools to help them in the contemplation and preparation stage, but what about the action and maintenance stages? Our Dietitian Coach Approach applies the latest research in nutrition, motivation, and sustainable behavior change. Using this approach is like having a superpower. You’ll transform into a gold-standard Dietitian Coach that provides excellent care and behavior change guidance, has high retention, does more fulfilling work, and creates incredible impact on their patients’ lives.

We're committed to elevating dietetics, one dietitian at a time.
Since 2009, Founder, Jenny Westerkamp, has been passionate about helping registered dietitians launch their careers with confidence through her other company All Access Dietetics. Through meeting and speaking with thousands of future and new dietitians, she found a training gap that prevented new dietitians from feeling confident and having the skills necessary to thrive in a competitive nutrition counseling role or start their own private practice. She is dedicated to elevating the field of dietetics by training new dietitians on the skills needed for exciting new opportunities for dietitians in virtual 1:1 nutrition counseling.

-
Yes, you can! You can be offered a spot as an RD2BE, but you would not start the fellowship until you pass the RD exam.
-
Fellows are hourly W-2 employees of All Access Dietitians working with clients that are provided to you. Hourly rate is $20/hour with PTO earned at 1 hour per 30 hours worked. 3 hours of paid training per week are also all paid time.
-
Three hours per week is allotted for paid training – this includes the Monday class, your cohort’s weekly class, and assigned prep work for classes. If you would like to do more learning beyond 3 hours per week (because there are many opportunities for more!) then that would be on your own time. You are also paid for the nutrition consults and any admin or charting time plus time for any required meetings.

Since February 2023, we’ve had 68 fellows in our program. We hope to have 100+ new fellows in 2026!
-
We are all about creating impact and catalyzing the growth of our fellows. That’s why we want everyone who goes through our training to receive a high level of accountability and supervision that can only be done in an employment setting. We will see your performance metrics improve over the year, and we will to challenge you to keep revisiting and practicing these skills every week.
It will literally be your JOB to learn how to become a Dietitian Coach 🙂
The Dietitian Coach Approach is something that you will continue to practice for years after the fellowship, but similar to any behavior change, having the support and resources in that first year will create the greatest transformation and set the foundation for long-term change in how you practice.
-
We have cohorts of 6-10 fellows and new cohorts typically start every other month.
